When perming the hair on your Bichon Frisé lapdog, it can be hard to grasp that this fuzzy little animal descended from pre-historic hunting wolves. But, in their continuing effort to present you with things you didn’t know you didn’t know, the National Geographic Channel wanted to show you exactly how mankind, through centuries of domestication, created the trusty companions that we now call our best friends. Combining show footage and animation, we wanted to represent that evolution in 30 seconds. It wasn’t easy, but hey, neither was breeding a pack hunter into the Taco Bell chihuahua.
